The short answer is, a long time. There are obviously some simple strategies for preserving the tree.
Firstly, don't place it in a position where it is exposed to direct heat, the tree won't like it.
Secondly, if you can, add water to the base of the tree, and use a mist sprayer to spray the needles.
Thirdly, keep the tree in a cool place, until you are ready to bring it into the house.
If you follow these simple stategies, the tree will last until well after Christmas. I put our tree on the compost heap after the twelth night, and it still had most of its needles in March.
The fact is, because we grow all our own trees, you can be assured that your tree will be totally fresh when it reaches you. |
